چکیده
Forests play a crucial role in the global carbon cycle. Among factors that can affect stocks forest stands, planting spacing stands out. This study verified effect of on biomass and stock stand Anadenanthera peregrina (L.) Speg at 56 months age. They were planted with 3 x 2 m, 4 m 5 spacings. The above-ground compartments (stem, branches, leaves bark) root was quantified, totalling 16.42 6.68 Mg ha-1, respectively. largest amount occurred denser Total twice as large compared to spacing. represented 40.93% total biomass. order participation components aboveground branches (44.99%), stem (40.77%), (13.99%) bark (4.90%). spacings (3 m) showed higher values than wide (4 m). There no necromass soil.
 Keywords: biomass, sequestration, silviculture.

(Anatomical and ultrastructural aspects of root and mycorrhiza of Anadenanthera peregrina (L.) Speg. var. falcata (Benth.) Altschul (Leguminosae-Mimosoideae)). A. peregrina var. falcata form mutualistic symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus. An anatomical and ultrastructural study was carried out to analyze some aspects of this simbiotic association as well as some root features. The res...
متن کاملNodule ultrastructure and initial growth of Anadenanthera peregrina (L.) Speg. var. falcata (Benth.) altschul plants infected with rhizobia.
The anatomy and ultrastructure of root nodules of Anadenanthera peregrina var. falcata (Leguminosae-Mimosoideae) were analysed, as was plant growth. To ensure that nodules developed, seedlings were inoculated with a mixture of six strains of rhizobia. Nodules were produced that differed in appearance-and probably also effectiveness-but their structure was similar and they showed characteristics...
متن کاملAbove- and below-ground biomass relationships across 1534 forested communities.
BACKGROUND AND AIMS Prior work has shown that above- and below-ground dry biomass across individual plants scale in a near isometric manner across phyletically and ecologically diverse species. Allometric theory predicts that a similar isometric scaling relationship should hold true across diverse forest-types, regardless of vegetational composition. METHODS To test this hypothesis, two compe...
متن کاملHow planting density and grazing intensity affect the above- and below-ground carbon pools in a dryland ecosystem?
Climate change is known as one of the most important environmental challenges. Sequestration of carbon in terrestrial ecosystems is a low-cost option that may be available in the near-term to mitigate increasing atmospheric CO2 concentrations, while providing additional benefits. In this study, we estimated the effects of planting density and grazing intensity on the potential of Atriplex canes...
متن کاملEstimation of Above- and Below-ground Biomass in Boreal Forest Ecosystems
Regression models for above-ground and below-ground biomass were estimated for 143 sample plots in young and mature coniferous forest. Various canopy height and canopy density metrics derived from the canopy height distributions of first as well as last pulse laser scanner data with a sampling density of approximately 1.1 m were used as independent variables in the regressions. Each of the sele...
